Dear Mr. Showalter:
I have reviewed your request for the above -noted sign. Because this sign proposal is in compliance with the
comprehensive sign guidelines for Rio Hills Shopping Center, I am able to review this proposal
administratively for the ARB. I have approved a sign of the design outlined below. You may consider this
letter your Certificate of Appropriateness.
WALL SIGN
Type: Channel Letters
Location: Centered vertically and horizontally in sign band on wall above business frontage.
Materials: Aluminum, acrylic
Overall Size: 2' -6" (H) x 9' -11" (W)
Text: "American General"
Letter Height: "A ": 1' -7/8 ", "merican ": 9 3/8 "; "G ": 1' -7/8 ", "eneral ": 9 3/8"
Colors: Faces: White; Trim caps and returns: Dark Gray (PMS 425C)
Graphics: Vertical bar (white) below the "E" in "American "; non - illuminated
Illumination: Internal LED; channel letters with translucent faces shall be constructed such that no light
spills outward from the top, bottom, sides or back. The level of illumination provided
by the LED lights shall not exceed the illumination produced by a single stroke of
30 milliamp (ma) neon.
This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and listed above, will be used.
The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as indicated on the
submittal items presented, and as listed above. Any changes in the approved sign or materials will require an
amendment to the application and must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board.
This approval does not include any window signs. If window signs are proposed, a separate application must
be made, reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board.
