HomeMy WebLinkAboutSDP200600002 Review Comments Waiver, variation or substitution requirement 2009-08-26Page 1 of 1 Amy Pflaum From: Amy Pflaum Sent: Wednesday, August 26, 2009 2:41 PM To: 'William Moore' Subject: RE: Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses NO We actually had staff out at Kingdom Hall this morning reviewing the entrance. Engineering feels they can support the waiver request so long as clear sight distance is maintained in either direction along Lynchburg Road. It is possible that a proposed retaining wall may interfere with this and we will check that once your plans are resubmitted. The other consideration we request is some "traffic guidance" within the parking lot immediately inside the entrance. The existing lot and a proposed lot converge just past the proposed entrance island, and there is potential for traffic conflicts in this area. The details of required traffic guidance (signs or striping) will be reviewed once you resubmit plans. If these two considerations are accommodated in your next plan submittal, Engineering will recommend that the Zoning Administrator approve the waiver request. To download the County topo, go to the website www.albemarle.org, under the Services menu, click on GIS /Mapping, then GIS Data, I AGREE on disclaimer, then Elevation, and then the correct format file under Topography (Y2007 Elevation Data). Please let me know if you have further questions. Amy D.
