You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness for the Taco Bell freestanding sign refacing and the wall signs described below. FREESTANDING SIGN - REFACING Type: Existing pole- mounted cabinet Materials: Sign face: Lexan Location: Existing location on the north side of the parcel at 140 Riverbend Drive Panel Size: 12' 0" high x 81" wide Text: "TACO BELL "; "Drive Thru" Graphics: Bell Colors: "TACO BELL ": Translucent violet (to match Spraylat L8 -7917) "Drive Thru ": Translucent white Bell: Violet (to match Spraylat L8- 7917), yellow (to match Spraylat L8 -7836) and magenta (to match Spraylat L8 -7937) Backgrounds: Opaque white and opaque purple Illumination: Existing internal florescent illumination to remain, with opaque background WALL SIGNS Type: Channel letters and logo boxes Materials: Aluminum with translucent acrylic faces Location: Centered above the entrances on the north and east elevations of the building at 140 Riverbend Dr. Mounting: Direct to wall Text: "TACO BELL" Graphic: Bell Letter Size: 9 -1/8" tall x 9' 1 -1/8" long Graphic Size: 2' 11- 15/16" tall x 3' 2 -1/2" wide Colors: "TACO BELL ": translucent violet (to match Spraylat L8 -7917) Bell: Violet (to match Spraylat L8- 7917), yellow (to match Spraylat L8- 7836), magenta (to match Spraylat L8 -7937) and white Illumination: Internal fluorescent This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and listed above, will be used. The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as indicated on the submittal items presented, and as listed above. Any changes in the approved sign or materials will require an amendment to the application and must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1. "Opaque" means that light will not pass through the material. Consequently, the color of the background portion of the face of the sign will not be visible when the sign is internally illuminated at night. If you have any question about this requirement for an opaque background, do not proceed with the construction or installation of the sign until you have spoken with County staff. 2. Channel letters with translucent faces shall be constructed such that no light spills outward from the top, bottom, sides or back. 3. Signs on the south elevation of this building are not visible from the Entrance Corridor and, therefore, do not require ARB approval.
