From the calculations provided, the fire flow is acceptable to reduce the side yard setback from 15 feet to 10 feet. Please let me know if you need anything further. Best regards, James F. The fire hydrant that Tom is references will be the main fire hydrant serving the 14 TH units during a fire, which is the fire hydrant is at the intersection of Pen Park and Rio Road, across from the Stonewater Subdivision. Below is the fire flow requirements for the TH units. As you can see from the calculations, the NFF is 1500 GPM, and the available fire flow is over 2600 GPM. Please let me know if this satisfies your outstanding comment on the project, and please let the Planning Department (Elizabeth Marotta) know when you have signed off on the project as acceptable. ISO Calculations: NFF = (Ci)(Oi)(X +P)i NFF = (1W1.5 "(1600 ^0.5)) "(1 +(0.23 +0)) NFF = 1500 GPM Provided Fire flow at Hydrant: 2681 GPM Thank you. It appears that he wants something from you verifying the pressures. With the 18" line and 10" in the development, this is obviously not an issue. Thanks. Scott From: James Barber Sent: b °Jedre: =,day, July 22, 2009 4:05 PM To: Elizabeth N?Iar tta Subject: RE: Stonewater side setback reductions Liz, My notes from the meeting indicate I did say the side yard set back reduction from 15' to 10' was acceptable, contingent upon verification of adequate fire flow availability. The ACSA can provide the current fire flow for the area and the developer can provide fire flow calculations for proposed new hydrants. As always, the approval is subject to field inspection and verification. James F. I am working on wrapping up my review, and it would be helpful if I had that from you. (It is quite possible you did email that to me and I just cannot find it, so I apologize if you did.) Thank you!
