The plan will also give me a better idea of the watersheds to the other facilities on site. I will work with Amy in the next few weeks to come up with the county's recommendation for the solution to the stormwater management issues experienced on site. However, before we can really get into the numbers, we'll need a graphic showing the area of each roof that is currently being directed to a raingarden /biofilter. Because of the intricate architectural details of the building and the resultant high number of downspouts, I had the impression after our meeting onsite that only a small percentage (- 10 -15 %) of each roof is being treated. The solution will likely be the treatment of an equivalent area of imperviousness somewhere in the vicinity of this phase, but we'll need to know for sure how much imperviousness needs to be accounted for before an adequate schematic plan can be designed. The concept in my head right now is the larger biofilter in the back that you had mentioned and converting the swale on the opposite side of the road into a wet bio -swale (see Figure 3.13 -2 of the VSMH). Once you give me the graphic of what is currently being captured, I'll run some numbers to see if this would meet the minimum requirements of our SWM regulations. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Phil 10/28/2009
