Box 6585 Charlottesville, VA 22906 RE: ARB- 2009 -65: Multi- tenant Panel Wall Sign, Building C, Blue Ridge Shopping Center B200901164S (Tax Map 56, Parcel 11) Dear Mr. Smith: I have reviewed your revised submittal for the above - referenced sign. The revisions included in this latest submission address all outstanding conditions of ARB approval. I have approved a sign of the design outlined below. You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness. WALL SIGN Type: Internally illuminated cabinet sign with 7 tenant panels Materials: Aluminum, acrylic, vinyl Overall Cabinet Size: 54" (h) x 36" (w) x 4" (d) Tenant Panel Size: 4" (h) x 33" (w) Text: Top panel: DR. DAVID MAYBEE D.D.S. Lower panels: To Be Determined Graphic: Mountain Range Colors: Cabinet: Mountain Range: PMS 290C Pale Blue; PMS 286C Midnight Blue; PMS 249C Delft Blue Cabinet: PMS 294C Delft Blue All Tenant Panels: Background: PMS 285C Wave Blue Text: White Location: Building C, on column at east end of north elevation, top of sign cabinet aligned with top of arcade opening to the right Mounting: Bolted to the brick facade Illumination: Internal LED This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and listed above, will be used. The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as indicated on the submittal items presented, and as listed above. Any changes in the approved sign or materials will require an amendment to the application and must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1. This approval does not include any window signs. If window signs are proposed, a separate application must be made, reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board. 2. Please note that "opaque" means that light will not pass through the material. Consequently, the color of the background portion of the face of the sign will not be visible when the sign is internally illuminated at night. If you have any question about this requirement for an opaque background, do not proceed with the construction or installation of the sign until you have spoken with County staff. 3. Please note that temporary blank tenant panels shall be opaque. 4. The level of illumination produced by the LED lights shall not exceed the level of illumination produced by a single stroke of 30 milliamp neon.
