HomeMy WebLinkAboutSDP200800170 Review Comments Major Amendment, Final Site Plan 2009-10-14- - - -- Original Message---- - From: Bill Fritz Sent: Wednesday, October 14, 2009 10:52 AM To: 'mroldsl7 @yahoo.com' Cc: Summer Frederick Subject: FW: Waiting on your e -mail I did get a chance to speak with Lisa yesterday. She informed me that she has not been to the site recently. I believe you said that she had been to the site on Thursday of last week. I don't know who it was but it wasn't Lisa. I also spoke with Summer Frederick who spoke to Kurt Gloeckner about this project. She spoke with him yesterday. For the Major Amendment this is what needs to be done. 1. Using the recently approved Minor Amendment Plan as the base plan indicate what improvements you are proposing. 2. The plan must meet the content criteria of the ordinance as specified in Sections 32.5 and 32.6. 3. Improvements shown on the plan must meet all applicable design requirements. 4. 18 copies of the plan must be submitted. The process will be as follows. - Submittal of the plan - Referral of the plan to the Site Review Committee - A Site Review Meeting will be held (the American Legion and Kurt will receive notification of the this meeting) - Revisions based on the comments of the Site Review Committee must be submitted within 10 days following the SRC meeting. - If the project is not appealed to the Planning Commission and if no waivers are required the revised plan will be acted on administratively. - If the project is appealed to the Planning Commission or if waivers are required the revised plan will be acted on by the Planning Commission. - If the revised plan does not have the required revisions it will be denied. - If the revised plan does have the required revisions it will either be signed or it may be approved conditionally (for example the plan may be approvable but you don't have final calculations for pipe sizes). If the plan is approved with conditions the plan will not be signed until the conditions are met. Action to deny, approve or approve with conditions occurs 60 days after the submittal deadline. Submittal deadlines are the 2nd 4th Monday of each month. A submittal deadline that shows submittal dates, site review dates and revision deadlines is available at this web site: http: / /www.albemarle.org/ upload/ images/ forms_ center /departments /community_de velopment/ forms / schedules / Site_ Plan_ &_Subdivision_Schedule.pdf I would like to point out that Summer Frederick is the Planner handling this project. The primary contact for the American Legion should work with her as she is and will be the one most familiar with the project. She will be the one developing comments and shepherding the project through the process. Therefore, she will know what the comments are and where the project is in the process. It is important that a primary contact be identified to represent the American Legion. This will be the person that Summer works with. Already, there is some confusion starting where I have been communicating with you and Summer has been communicating with Kurt. Summer will be the primary contact with the County and we ask that you identify a primary contact for the American Legion. Typically the contact is the Engineer as most of the contact that occurs is technical in nature. I hope this lays out the steps that need to be followed. If you have questions they should be directed to Summer. William D.
