Dear Mr. Root;
The Albemarle County Architectural Review Board reviewed the above noted item at its meeting on
Monday, October 19, 2009. The Board, by a vote of 3:0, approved the request, pending staff administrative
approval of the following condition:
1. The storefront glass shall be clear, with reflectance on the outside pane held below 7 %.
On October 22, 2009 you submitted two copies of sheets 34.01, 34.02 and 42.01 with revision date of
10/20/09 in response to the above -noted condition. The changes included on these drawings satisfy this
outstanding condition of approval. You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness.
This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and exhibited for review,
will be used. The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as
indicated on the site plan, attachments, materials, samples, and other submittal items presented. Any
change in the approved design or materials will require an amendment to the plan and must be reviewed
and approved by the Architectural Review Board.
Please note: This Certificate of Appropriateness does not include approval for any window signs. If
window signs are proposed, review by the ARB is required.
