A. Final Site Plan
1. Stormwater Management plans and Erosion and Sediment Control plans have been submitted
without a WPO application. Please submit a Water Protection Ordinance application and
accompanying fee. Review of the Stormawater Management and Erosion and Sediment Control
plans will commence once the WPO application and fee are received.
2. All topography should be at least visually verified by the designer within the last year. [18- 32.6.6]
3. There appear to be discrepancies with the existing contour lines shown for this site and those
shown for the Deerwood subdivision.. Please review.
4. Proposed slopes steeper than 3:1 have low maintenance (not grass) ground cover specified on the
plan.
5. Please label retaining walls with maximum height.
6. Safety railing must be shown for retaining walls over 4' high (building permit may be more strict).
7. Guardrail with VDOT designations must be shown for retaining walls next to parking or
travelways. [18- 32.7.2]
8. Structural design and computations must be provided for the proposed retaining wall. Please refer
to Albemarle County Design Standards Manual Section 8 — Grading, B — Retaining Walls.
9. Please label entrance with a VDOT designation (PE -1, CG -9a, etc.)
10. Please provide radii on the entrances. 12.5' minimum radii on entrances (or per VDOT
requirements, typically 25' — 35')
11. VDOT approval must be obtained for any plan affecting public right -of -way.
12. Sidewalk abutting parking must be 6' wide (exclusive of curb), or bumper blocks are provided.
Please refer to the Design Standards Manual.
13. Bumper blocks must be provided in the tandem parking area. [18- 4.12.16e]
14. Dumpster pad detail or specification must be a minimum 4" stone base and 4" concrete of 3000 psi
at 28 days, or stronger. [DM]
15. Pipe slopes must be at 0.5% min. to 16% max. (per VDOT standards for anchors over 16 %)
16. All spreads must be no greater than 10'
17. Please provide dimensions and stone sizes for all outfalls.
18. The labels on the drainage structures do not match with drainage computations and profiles.
19. Please provide copies of the approved permits for the disturbance of the wetlands.
