We have requested approval from the subdivision's board to conduct the race there. The start /finish line will be at the Bright Beginnings parking lot at 3401 Worth Crossing. From Worth Crossing the course turns left onto Timberwood Blvd, left onto Timberwood Parkway, right onto Cross Timbers Drive, left onto Highland Ridge, left onto Watercrest Drive. At the Watererest Drive cul -de -sac the course returns along Watercrest Drive leaving the street at a walking path, which passes through Forest Lakes common areas. The path ends at Timberwood Parkway. From Timberwood Parkway the course turns left onto Timberwood Blvd. and right onto Worth Crossing. We have had around 310 participants per year for the past 4 years. We use the Bright Beginnings parking lot for race registration, refreshments, medical tent and prize distribution. We pay the Albemarle Police Department to be present for this event. Parking normally occurs along the west shoulder of Worth Crossing in the vicinity of Bright Beginnings. 501(c)3 charities will receive proceeds from the race. Course for the run shall be as shown on the attached sketch. Permittee will be responsible for all signs, cones and certified flag persons required for traffic control. 3. All emergency vehicles must be allowed to pass at all times. 4. Signs informing the area residents of the event and time period will be posted at both ends of the area during the week prior to the race. Announcements are to be made by local media indicating the time and location of the race. 5. .Routes to be checked for trash and debris to be properly removed at conclusion of event. 6. Event coordinators should notify fire and rescue departments in advance of the event. 7. Persons to whom permits or permission are issued shall at all times indemnify and save harmless the Commonwealth Transportation Board, members of the board, the Commonwealth of Virginia and all Commonwealth employees, agents and officers from responsibility, damage or liability arising from the exercise of the privileges granted.
