Elizabeth,
I have reviewed the above site plan and have the following comments:
• Show sight lines in accordance with VDOT's Road Design Manual, Appendix G, page G -31. The bank to the
right of the entrance may have a vertical conflict.
• The entrance pipe needs to be moved away from the road and back behind the proposed radii at the entrance
to eliminate clear zone, erosion and maintenance issues.
Show the outlet velocity on the pipe and any needed outlet protection.
Show an entrance profile in a accordance with the requirements of Appendix G of the Road Design Manual.
Use CG -7 curb and gutter within the Right of Way of Route 743.
• Pavement structure within the Right of Way of Route 743 must be equivalent to the structure of the road in
accordance with the requirements for a commercial entrance.
