Jeff,
The County has no objection to your site plan amendment request, other than a note needs to be added to the plans,
per our conversation this morning.
Please add a note to the plans that specifies the design standard to which the (existing) dumpster pad shall be /is built. If
you recall, even though the dumpster is "existing" it is "proposed" to be approved with this site plan amendment and
thus must meet the standards of the ordinance. Inspectors will be looking to make sure the "existing" dumpster pad
meets the requirements of the code and matches what was approved on this plan.
The note shall contain the following information (taken from Sec. 4.12.19 of County Zoning Ordinance):
Dumpster pad shall be concrete.
Dumpster pad shall extend beyond the front of the dumpster so that the wheels of the truck servicing the
dumpster will rest on concrete; in no case
shall the length of the pad be less than eight (8) feet beyond the front of the dumpster.
Stormwater must drain away from, and not through, the pad so as to minimize potential for contaminating
stormwater runoff.
Once this note is added, please submit 5 sets of plans to my office. I will sign them and return 2 sets to you. Please let
me know if you would rather I leave them at the front desk for pickup or have them mailed them to you.
