Megan,
I have reviewed the above site plan and have the following comments:
The ROW along Old Trail Dr. is unclear. There appears to be two lines that look like the ROW.
2. There is a label on the plan that indicates a VDOT sidewalk and landscape easement. This easement was originally
a clear zone easement. VDOT will not maintain sidewalks outside of the right of way or any landscaping.
Sight lines along Old Trail Dr. are outside of the right of way and need to be within sight distance easements.
4. The sight lines around the roundabout need to be in accordance with the roundabout sight distances shown in the
FHWA publication titled Roundabouts: An Informational Guide.
5. The sight line at the intersection of Claremont and Uplands along lot 14 is outside of the right of way and needs to
be within a sight distance easement.
6. Final plans will need to show entrance grades for all proposed entrances and pavement design to the back of the
right of way line for public streets.
