RE: ARB- 2010 -21: Elswick Band Instrument Repair Sign
Dear Mr. Elswick:
This letter corrects and supersedes a similar letter sent to you yesterday which referenced an incorrect sign height.
I have reviewed your request for the above -noted sign. Because the sign proposal addresses the ARB's concern about sign
location and because the design otherwise meets the EC Design Guidelines, I am able to review this proposal
administratively for the ARB. I have approved a sign of the design outlined below. You may consider this letter your
Certificate of Appropriateness.
WALL SIGN
Type: Dimensional lettering on acrylic rails
Materials: Plastic, acrylic, vinyl
Location: West end of front elevation; the space between the west end of the Band sign and the west end of the signband
must equal the space between the east end of the State Farm sign and the east end of the signband
Text: " Elswick Band Instrument Repair"
Overall Sign Size: 2' tall x 12' long
Letter Size: top row: 10 "; bottom row: 6"
Colors: Blue faces (Gemini acrylic 2050), clear acrylic rails, blue (Gemini acrylic 2050) and white graphic
Graphic: Band instrument at left end of letters; overall size: 26" high x 13" wide
Illumination: None
Mounting: Letters and graphic stud - mounted to acrylic rails
This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and listed above, will be used. The
acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as indicated on the submittal items
presented, and as listed above. Any changes in the approved sign or materials will require an amendment to the application
and must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board.
Please note that this approval does not include any window signs. If window signs are proposed, a separate application must
be made, reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Board.
If you have any questions concerning any of the above, please feel free to call me.
Sincerely,
Margaret Maliszewski
