The County of Albemarle Division of Zoning and Current Development will grant or recommend approval of
the minor site plan referred to above once the following comments have been addressed: [Each comment is
preceded by the applicable reference, which is to the Subdivision /Zoning Ordinances unless otherwise
specified.]
❑ 32.5.6 The minor site plan shall contain the following information
1. Please add the latest Special Use Permit number SP200800042 to the list under zoning.
2. Add to the Minor Amendment the Site Development Project number SDP201000028 to the minor
amendment for future reference.
3. A photometric plan will be required. Please provide a Lighting plan that meets the requirements of
section 4.17. The lighting plan must consist of a photometric plan prepared using the calculation grid
method that will show light levels in foot - candles point by point distributed at regular intervals across
the site. Please refer to the lighting review checklist below for guidance.
32.6 FINAL SITE PLAN CONTENT
LIGHTING PLAN REVIEW CHECKLIST

Lumen level (3000 or more must be full cutoff)
Please indicate if any of the fixtures will emit more than 3000 lumens. If
so, the fixtures need to be full cut off and cut sheets must be provided. Cut
sheets have been provided, and lumen levels have been identified. This
information needs to be shown on a lighting plan sheet that will be part of
the minor amendment. Please contact me for examples of li htin lans .

Bulb/lamp location (must be totally within house to be full cutoff)
The light fixture must be totally within the house of the fixture to be full
cutoff. The fixture shown is totally within the house of the fixture. Thank
you. This information needs to be incorporated into a lighting plan,
Luminaire schedule
Please provide a luminaire schedule. The luminaire schedule on exhibit B
is hard to read. Please make this larger and make it part of the Lighting
Plan.

Catalog #'s must coordinate with provided cut sheets. The catalog
numbers shown in the luminaire schedule should match those that are
indicated on the cut sheets.

Fixture guantity/types on the luminaire schedule must coordinate with
quantity /type on the lighting plan. Exhibit B provides some of this
information but it is difficult to read. Please provide this information on a
lighting plan and make the information large enough to read.

Standard lighting notes
Please add the standard lighting note to the site plan. "Each outdoor
luminaire equipped with a lamp that emits 3,000 or more initial lumens shall
be a full cutoff luminaire. The spillover of lighting from luminaires onto public
roads and property in the residential or rural areas zoning districts shall not
exceed one -half footcandle. "
