The Erosion and Sediment Control Plan for Merifields Driveway, received on 28 June 2010 has been
reviewed. The plan cannot be approved as submitted and will require the following corrections before
approval can be granted:
A. Erosion and Sediment Control Comments
Limits of disturbance do not match between sheets EC -1 through EC -3. Please revise.

2. Limits of disturbance must be shown on sheet GS -1.

3. Label all existing and proposed streets.

4. Please provide Temporary Seeding (TS) and Permanent Seeding (PS).

5. Please provide Dust Control (DC).

6. Sediment Basin #1 must show proposed grading and contours must be labeled. The basin must
also be included in the limits of disturbance.

8. Please clarify as to where Phase #1 and #2 begin and finish.

10. Proposed contours do not tie in to existing contours in some parts of the proposed driveway.

It. Any proposed grading and /or construction disturbing critical slopes require a critical slopes waiver
to be submitted.

"no existing critical slopes will be impacted during this project ".

12. Pipe locations on the plans do not match with the profile. Please revise

13. Grading on any part of the driveway must not exceed 16 %.

15. Elevations on the EC sheets do not match with the elevations on the CALC sheet. Please revise.

16. It seems that the stone weir elevations for Sediment Trap #4 are incorrect. Please revise.

both "bottom of stone weir" and "bottom trap elevation '. Please revise.

17. Sediment Traps #5 and #6 have embankments that exceed the 5' maximum. Please refer to the
VESCH, Spec. 3.13 for proper embankment heights.

The Erosion & Sediment Control Plan (WP0201000019) submitted 23 June 2010 have received
Engineering Review and meet Albemarle County minimum checklist items for approval. Please
submit 4 paper copies of the Plan to Current Development Engineering.
The E &SC bond amount is $123,700. The forms and instructions to post the Water Protection
Ordinance Bond can be found on the Community Development Department Web site on
www.albemarle.oriz.
Once the E &SC bond has been posted, you may contact the Department of Community
Development to arrange a pre - construction meeting with a County Erosion & Sediment Control
Inspector. Should the County Inspector find the limits of disturbance increased or the need for
additional control measures required to protect the site, additional fees will be required.
