The following revisions are requested to make the proposal consistent with the applicable design criteria. 1. Provide color samples for all proposed building colors. These samples will be reviewed by staff. Revisions to the colors may be required after that review. 2. Eliminate the green shingles from the proposal. Limit the roof shingles to the charcoal color only. 3. Revise the white pines (T -11) to an alternate evergreen species. (Eastern red cedar, magnolia grandiflora, and red pine would be acceptable substitutes. Species with smaller sizes at maturity than those currently proposed will require higher quantities to achieve comparable results.) Revise the spacing of the trees so that one is planted as close as possible to the sanitary sewer easement that runs along the west side of Lot 13. Space the trees to allow for full growth and even distribution along this northern edge of the property. (If this requested spacing/location isn't clear, please contact me prior to revising the plan.) 4. Revise the Norway spruce (T -10) to an alternate evergreen species. (Eastern red cedar, magnolia grandiflora, and red pine would be acceptable substitutes. Species with smaller sizes at maturity than those currently proposed will require higher quantities to achieve comparable results.) Revise the location of the trees from the east side of Lot 1 to span the northeast corner of that lot. Space the trees to allow for full growth. (If this requested spacing/location isn't clear, please contact me prior to revising the plan.) 5. Add the following note to the site plan: "All site plantings of trees and shrubs shall be allowed to reach, and be maintained at, mature height; the topping of trees is prohibited. Shrubs and trees shall be pruned minimally and only to support the overall health of the plant. 6. The landscape plan shows 9 Linden trees and the landscape schedule identifies 8. Adjust the landscape schedule to coordinate with the plan. Within 15 days of the date of this letter, please send me a letter (by email is acceptable) indicating whether you will or will not proceed with these revisions. If you choose not to proceed with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve your application. If you choose to proceed with the revisions, please forward me one set of revised drawings together with a memo summarizing the revisions you've made. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60 -day review period associated with your original submittal. However, I expect to complete the review of your revised proposal within 2 weeks of your re- submittal. If you have any questions about this action, please contact me as soon as possible. I look forward to receiving your revisions and completing this review with an approval letter.
