Diez — Engineering Technician A. Stormwater Management Plan 1. Please provide a completed copy of the standard stormwater maintenance agreement and fee for recordation for any stormwater management facilities. (Rev. 1) Comment has been acknowledged. 2. It appears that runoff will escape via the ditch north of the proposed septic area. Engineering recommends two options to help capture the runoff from the proposed parking area: - Provide a ditch extending toward the north and above (or below) the protected tree to help capture the proposed runoff from the proposed parking area. (or) Make the diversion dike west of the parking lot a permanent channel to help direct the runoff to the biofilter. (Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed. 3. Please provide a cross slope on the north side of the proposed travelway to assure that the runoff is captured and directed to the proposed biofilter. (Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed. C. Erosion and Sediment Control Plan 4. Please extend diversion dikes east from the south side of the property. (Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed. 5. Please show all stream buffers. (Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed. 6. The diameter for the dewatering orifice appears to be too large. Our calculations show that a 6" orifice is needed. Please provide calculations for the orifice for clarification. (Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed. Albemarle County Community Development Engineering Review Comments Page 2 of 2 7. There seems to be discrepancies between this plan and the approved E &S plans for the Bundoran Farm road plans (WP0200600092). The discharge from the Sediment Basin for Pippin Farm does not coincide with the proposed culvert next to the sediment trap for Country Fair Lane on the Bundoran Farm plans. Engineering assume that the portion of Country Fair Lane (where the proposed entrance to Pippin Farm will be) will be completed with the Country Fair Lane culvert in place. Therefore, these plans should coincide with the Bundoran Farm road plans. (Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed. 8. The elevations for ST #2 seem to be incorrect. Please revise. (Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed. 9. The drainage area in the SB calculations do not match the E &S plans. Please revise. The Sediment Basin, from the calculations, is sized for a 10.45 drainage. If the actual drainage area is 13.9, please size the basin accordingly. (Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed. The Erosion & Sediment Control and Stormwater Management Plans (WP0201000042) submitted 17 August 2010 have received Engineering Review and meet Albemarle County minimum checklist items for approval. Please submit 4 paper copies of the Plan to Current Development Engineering. The E &SC bond amount is $119,400. The SWM bond amount is $40,700. The forms and instructions to post the Water Protection Ordinance Bond can be found on the Community Development Department Web site on www.albemarle.oig. A completed copy of the Standard Stormwater Maintenance Agreement and fee for recordation for the stormwater facilities is required prior to final approval. [17-304E] The forms and instructions can be found on the Community Development Department Web site on www.albemarle.or ,-. You may contact Ana Kilmer (Albemarle County Department of Community Development) at ext. 3246 forfurther information on bonding procedures and Maintenance Agreements. Once the E &SC bond and the SWM bond have been posted, you may contact the Department of Community Development to arrange a pre - construction meeting with a County Erosion & Sediment Control Inspector. Should the County Inspector find the limits of disturbance increased or the need for additional control measures required to protect the site, additional fees will be required. \\ Cob- dts01 \cityviewlnk\Docs \2010 \WPO \WPO2010000042 - Pippin Hill Farm Vineyard \CDE2_esc_swm_JPD_Pippin Hill Farm Vineyard.doc
