ARB- 2010 -124
The applicant resubmitted a revised drawing for the proposed multi - tenant panel monument sign on
October 25, 2010. Given the unusual sign design, staff asked the ARB for direction on this application as
an Other Business Item on November 1, 2010. The ARB provided the following comments:
• Regarding the proposed design for the freestanding Kohl's / Hollymead Town Center sign, the ARB
expressed concern about the height and its relationship to the hill and the parking lot, and the
open area of the sign. They indicated that the sign should return to the ARB for a full review.

ARB- 2010 -27
The applicant initially submitted two sign proposals including a Kohl's monument sign and a multi- tenant
panel monument sign. The Kohl's sign was administratively approved by staff for a location
approximately 1,000 feet south on the EC. However, the applicant was required to go before the Board of
Zoning Appeals (BZA) for the multi- tenant panel monument sign because of its location on an off -site
parcel and the proposed 16' height (12' max. height allowed in PDMC zoning). The applicant requested
deferral of the multi - tenant monument sign from ARB review until the BZA acted on the application. On
May 4, 2010 the applicant received BZA approval for the proposed location and height.
