Subject: S.P. 2010 -35 and 2010 -41 Blue Ridge Swim Club — Z1
I have reviewed this initial submittal and have several questions. My comments will be combined for
both special use permits.
1. How much parking currently exists on the property? Please generally depict the parking on the
plan and note the surface of the parking. We will need to determine that there is or will be
adequate parking provided. Please also see questions #4 and 5.
2. The application states the swimming pool use will allow up to 350 memberships. How many
memberships are currently permitted? This is asked to understand the extent of expansion in
the pool use.
3. The application states the camp use will be for up to 100 campers. How many staff will there
be?
4. How will transportation be provided to the camp — by individuals or pick -up by camp bus? Is
there currently a commercial entrance to this site?
5. Please further describe the special events. What type of events (private parties or open to the
public) and to whom will they be available? How many attendees are expected?
6. What months will the camp be open?
7. How will access (pedestrian and vehicular) be provided to the pavilion both during use and
during construction? Will the pavilion have walls, running water, bathrooms?
8. What type and distance of buffer will be provided between the pavilion and adjoining property?
