Please see e-mail below. We need to make sure that the lanes are correct according to Chuck Proctors comments so please send me the pdf of the plan sheet layout to forward to him. 2. You need to identify whether or not there is a need for the left turn lane into the movie theater site for the northbound left tuning traffic. Remove the stop bar on the left turn lane going into the Kohl's site. For a 12 foot offset at 30 mph, the length of transition for the lane shift is 180 feet. The plan shows 140 feet. 5. The midblock pedestrian crossing is within the taper which is undesirable and may lead to safety or operational problems. Once you modify the lane shift transition, relocate the pedestrian crossing to be entirely out of the left turn taper. You can also consider angling the refuge area so pedestrians are facing oncoming traffic and that will also offset the walkway. 6. Please include the projected traffic and the pavement design worksheet. 6 inches of IM -19 is greater than the maximum allowable thickness according to the 2009 Pavement Design Guide. 7. The median should show both MS -1 and MS -2 details. MS -2 should be used on medians greater than 6 feet in width. You can also consider MS -1 A in locations. Please send me the pdf of the layout to get to Chuck as soon as you can so we can make sure the lane usage is correct. Thanks Joel Joel DeNunzio, P.E. I don't have any information whether it is needed or not. Also, since you are building four lanes to the south of the Kohls Entrance at the request of Chuck Proctor, can you send me a pdf of sheet S -1 to send up to Chuck to make sure his layout comments are addressed.
