Dear Bob: As you know, we met on October 27 to discuss the variation request referenced above.. As we told you at that meeting and after review of the request and the standards for variations below:• 8.5.5.3 VARIATIONS FROM APPROVED PLANS, CODES, AND STANDARDS OF DEVELOPMENTS The director of planning may allow a site plan or subdivision plat for a planned development to vary from an approved application plan, standard of development and, also, in the case of a neighborhood model district, a code of development, as provided herein: a. The director of planning is authorized to -grant a variation from the following provisions of an approved plan, code or standard: 2. Changes to the arrangement of buildings and uses shown on the plan, provided that the major elements. shown on the plan and their relationships remain the same; Your request for the changes is in the attachment. The request references changes between. Blocks 5.& 8; however, ithe location of the-townhouses-to which the variation relates is actually. Block.3. The Zoning Administrator has determined that the requested change to allow townhouses in Block 3 constitutes a major change requiring an amendment to the - zoning through the rezoning process. Additionally, a site plan has been submitted for 6 townhouses within Block •5 of the approved Belvedere Neighborhood Model District approved under ZMA- 07 -04. The applicant has been in discussion with staff regarding the proposed changes to the original requirements contained within the rezoning plan and code of development. The site plan reflects the changes that are being requested below .for the variance to the original plan. _ VARIATIONS BEING SOUGHT: 3 7) Modification of Table 1 to -reflect the desired mix of unit types by block..
