for a distance of 40' from the intersected street, measured anywhere in the entrance. [18- 4.12.17]
(Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed.
9. Please provide site distance triangles. This is to be measured from a point in an intersection 10' off
of the edge of pavement of the intersected travelway, to a point on the travelway centerline.
(Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed.

(Rev. 1) Comment has not been addressed. The front must be extended to 8' or the bollards
must be moved further back towards the rear.
15. Dumpster pad detail or specification must be a minimum 4" stone base and 6" concrete of 3000 psi
at 28 days, or stronger, reinforced with a minimum grid of wire reinforcing or #4 bars at 12 "on
center.
(Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed.
16. Sidewalks abutting parking must be 6' wide (exclusive curb), or bumper blocks must be provided.
(Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed.

(Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed.
22. Drain inlet lengths on STR #114 and STR #206 on the Storm Structure Table do not match with the
Stormwater Inlet Computation.
(Rev. 1) Comment has not been addressed. STR #114 still does not match.
B. Stormwater Management plan (WP0201000071)

the Virginia Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook for proper guidelines.
(Rev. 1) Comment has not been addressed. Cross - sections of the downstream channel need to
be taken with calculations performed with varying calculated and permissible velocities for
each segment. The downstream drainage system should also be verified until the pipe running
underneath Route 29 is reached.
4. Please provide a detailed drainage area map showing the IS and 2S drainage areas.
(Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed.

8. The sequence does not include the installation of Sediment Trap #1. Please revise
(Rev. 1) Comment has been addressed.
9. It appears that the perimeter controls for this site are being utilized inefficiently. Engineering
recommends that a meeting be held to reach a more structured solution to the E &S design of this
site.
(Rev. 1) Comment has not been addressed. It seems that the sediment trap can be moved
towards the inlet by the entrance. The plans show limits of disturbance around that area by the
proposed curbed island. According to the Virginia Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook,
all construction entrances must drain to a sediment trap and it would seem that this is the most
efficient spot for it. In addition, a right -of -way diversion should be installed to help dirent the
runoff to the trap.
