HomeMy WebLinkAboutARB201100056 Review Comments Minor Amendment 2011-05-11Email sent from Margaret Maliszewski to Ron Manslow 5/11/2011 Ron, Thanks for talking with me this morning about the lighting changes at BB &T. I've listed below the items we discussed. Also, I will try to coordinate with the Current Development planner to see what else, if anything, might be needed. 1. We confirmed that the proposed amendment is for the following changes: a. Moving 2 existing full cutoff wall fixtures on the east elevation of the drive - through canopy b. Adding 1 full cutoff wall fixture on the departure elevation of the drive - through canopy (west, facing Rt. 29) c. Adding 1 fixture under the awning that is attached to the drive - through canopy. 2. You mentioned that the fixture under the awning is not a full cutoff fixture. Previous determinations have found that light fixtures, to meet ordinance requirements, must be full cutoff in and of themselves. Placing them under /within a structure doesn't meet the requirement. I will check with Zoning to see if this determination still applies in this case. Either way, it would be best to have a more detailed drawing showing the installation of the fixture in the awning. It would also be helpful to have a clearer image of the fixture that illustrates its non - full- cutoff features. 3. I'm confused about the number of lamps in the awning fixture. Is it 6 or 4? It would be helpful if you could provide a fixture schedule that outlined existing, new and moved fixtures, with their manufacturers, catalog numbers, lamp type, lumens, etc. 4. Do you have a photometric plan that you can send me? I'm interested in the footcandle levels on the ground in the vicinity of the drive - through structure with the proposed fixtures in place. What is the highest footcandle value beneath the fixture in the awning? Thanks for looking into these items. Margaret
