The Site Development (SDP201100051) and Water Protection Plans (WP0201100053)
submitted 23 August 2011 have received Engineering Review and do not appear to meet
Albemarle County minimum checklist items for approval. Please adequately address the
following comments for final approval:
There are no proposed contours on this plan submittal so a formal review is not possible
at this time. The following items are a cursory review and additional comments or
conditions may be forthcoming.
Road and drainage plans (SDP201100051)
1) VDOT approval is required. Comments will be forwarded when received. [DM905]
2) The site distance easement is blocked by trees and a retaining wall. If adequate site
distance cannot be achieved then the entrance should be removed from the plan to
facilitate approval.
3) All parallel parking spaces must be a minimum dimension of 9'x20'. There are 3 spaces
in the northeast area of the plan that do not meet this requirement.
4) E &SC Narrative " Stormwater Run -off Considerations" Refers to an unspecified regional
Stormwater Basin that requires a pro -rata share. Please clarify.
Erosion Control Plan (WP0201100053)
5) No Review fee was received with this submission. The $300 review fee is past due and
another $300 fee is required with the next submittal.
6) The phase 3 does not have E &SC protection. The Sediment control structures for the
Reserve at Belvedere are to be converted to permanent SWM structures ASAP and will
be protected from this site work. Please contact the County Engineer for more
information about the Reserve at Belvedere.
7) Please show the vegetative areas with slopes 3:1 and greater on the plan that require low
maintenance ground cover and add this note to the plan: "Proposed slopes steeper that 3:1
must have low maintenance (not grass) ground cover."

No SWM fee was posted for review.
Once these comments have been addressed, please submit 2 copies (add 1 more copy if VDOT
needs to review) of the revised plans, calculations, and narratives to Current Development
Engineering.

[17- 204.f] An application for an erosion and sediment control plan that requires modifications, terms, or conditions
to be included in order for it to be approved shall be deemed to be withdrawn if the owner fails to submit a revised
plan addressing the omitted modifications, terms or conditions within six (6) months after the owner is informed of
the omitted information as provided under paragraph (B).
