Hi Frank,
The landscape plan is much improved, but there are still a few very minor issues, as follows:
1. The Area of Canopy' for Carpinus betulus 'Fastigiata' is listed on the County spreadsheet as 69SF, but in the table
on the plan it's listed as 234. Even the non - fastigiate form is listed by the County as providing only 177SF, so I'm
not sure where that number came from. Anyway, it needs to be revised.
2. There is still a numbering issue with Ilex cornuta 'Carisssa'....the call -outs add up to 32 (and the plant and canopy
schedules say the same thing), but I count 33 symbols.
3. There is also still a numbering issue with Ilex glabra 'Densa'....the call -outs add up to 23, but the plant and
canopy schedules say 24 ... and I count 24 symbols.
From what I can determine, you will still meet the canopy requirement, so none of this is of significant
consequence... just trying to get it accurate. Otherwise, it looks great and it will be a huge improvement in the aesthetics
of the site. Let me know if you have any questions.

Just to follow up, I dropped off a full -size copy of the landscape plan a couple of days ago at the front desk. Pease
confirm you receive it.
Thank you!

Frank,
I can't print the landscape plan at a sufficient scale to really review it. 11x17 is our max here. There are so few changes,
I can review it when you bring in actual plan sets for final review... it shouldn't take long at all. If you want me to review
it now, I'll need a full size copy. Just one is fine. The other items I could zoom in on the PDF to see your changes, but I
need to be able to see the whole sheet at once for the landscape plan review.
Let me know! Thanks,

Ellie,
Please note the following responses to your comments:
Response to Comment 9 (4`h bullet) —The requirement for street trees has been corrected to include Greenbrier Drive.
The total required number of street trees has been correct to 12.4 trees. Regarding trees within easements, City Gas
requested to keep all trees at least 10 -ft from the 4 -inch gas main. They also requested to keep the existing Dogwoods
versus planting new Redbuds on the south side of the site. The existing Dogwoods were not previously approved by City
Gas but can stay; however, approval would not be granted to replace these since it would require digging within 10 -ft of
the main. Therefore, only one Redbud is proposed within their easement and has been approved by City Gas at the
front - corner of the site. We are still waiting for a response from Dominion Power regarding trees within their overhead
easement. (Note the Demo Plan is attached showing the Dogwoods to remain — the other drawings affected by this will
change be submitted with the final submittal).
Response to Comment 9 (7`h bullet) — Plant lists, callouts, and quantities have been corrected. The "Area of Canopy" has
also been revised to properly reflect what is in the County's Plant Canopy Calculations document. Taking all changes into
account, the proposed canopy still exceeds the required canopy. The Fosteri Holly has been revised to be a Robin Holly.
Comments 12, and 14 will be addressed as soon as I receive the cut sheets from the manufacturer. I will have these this
week.
Comment 15 — The area of critical slopes has been corrected on the Cover Sheet (see attached). Note the Critical Slopes
Waiver fee of $425 has been submitted to the County as requested.
Comment 16 — In speaking with Max, he has reviewed the WPO application and has no further comments. However, the
review fee must be submitted to make this official. This fee will be submitted with the final set of plans.
Thanks and let me know if there is anything further at this time.
Sincerely,
Frank

Phil,
Attached are two exhibits showing the proposed plantings are further than 10 -ft from the gas line. Note there is no gas
easement along the front of the property, just on the south side of the site. However, at your request I've adjusted the
ones that were less than 10 -ft to be at least 10 -ft from the gas line.
On the south side, I've eliminated two of the three Redbud and show that we are now going to keep all of the dogwood
trees. The one Redbud that we are planting is outside the 10 -ft offset.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Frank

Phil,
Attached is the landscaping plan for the referenced site that was approved by the County ARB. However, before final
approval is issued, the County has requested confirmation that City Gas will allow the plants shown within the gas
easement on the south side of the site. Please let me know if you would like to review this before you respond.
Thank you,
Frank
