Subject: SDP - 2011 -068- Barrell Property - Tier II PWSF- Final
The Planner for the Planning Division of the Albemarle County Department of Community
Development will recommend approval for the plan referred to above when the following items
have been satisfactorily addressed. (The following comments are those that have been identified
at this time. Additional comments or conditions may be added or eliminated based on further
review.) [Comments 1 thru 6 are preceded by the applicable reference to the Albemarle County
Code.]
1. [5.1.4(a)(4)(c)] Revise Sheet C -2 Enlarged Site Survey to show the location of proposed
ground equipment within the lease area.
2. [5.1.4(c)(2)] Revise Sheet C -4 Enlarged Site Plan to include a note indicating that
outdoor lighting for the facility shall be permitted only during maintenance periods.
3. [5.1.4(c)(3)] Revise Sheet C -3 Elevation View to include a note indicating that no point
on the face of the antenna shall project more than 12 inches from the face of the existing
structure to which it is attached.
4. [5.1.4(d)] The subject parcel lies within an Entrance Corridor Overlay District; therefore,
Architectural Review Board approval is required. That review is currently scheduled for
December 5, 2011.
5. [5.1.4(d)(7)] Revise General Note 3, Sheet C -3 Elevation View, to reference the required
paint color product ID Sherwin Williams ( #6090) Java Brown.
6. [5.1.4(d)(8)] Revise Sheet C -3 Elevation View to include a note indicating that all vertical
cables, wiring and similar attachments on the outside of the pole shall be placed to face
the interior of the property, away from public view.
7. Miscellaneous /errors:
a. The photograph of the existing monopole, included in this submission, is mislabeled
as Verizon Wireless — "Mechums River" /Hudson Property. Please revise the label to
reference the Barrell property.
b. Sheet C -3 Elevation View, Elevation View has the top of the reference tree labeled as
85' AGL in one location and 87' AGL in another. Please correct this error.
