The amendment to the SWM plan for Redfields Phase IV- Basin B, received 30 September 2011, has been
reviewed. The plan can be approved after the following comments are addressed.
1. The owner of the parcel must sign the application.
2. County records indicate that this pond is located on parcel 76RI -4 -D, not 76R1 -4 -A which was
used in the WPO application. Please confirm which TMP is correct.
3. Please explain the note on sheet 4 that talks about a low -level gravity drain. It appears that a valve
at the bottom of the riser was in the original design of the plan but was removed in the 2006
amendment to the stormwater plan. At the time, the applicant stated that the pond could be
drained in the future by pumps, if necessary. Please confirm that the plan no longer calls for a
gravity drain. If this is correct, please remove this note from the plan since it is confusing without
the gate valve no longer in the riser detail.
4. This comment does not need to be addressed and is only for informational purposes. I have
been instructed to limit the review of this application to simply confirming that the current design
of the riser is equal to what was approved in the 2006 amendment to the plan. I have found that
this is the case and the routing of the stormwater facility will remain unaffected with the proposed
changes. However, I will point out to the applicant at this time that the original plan was designed
without looking at the critical storm. Again, I have been instructed not to require a reevaluation of
the pond, but I strongly recommend that the applicant look at the design of the basin from this
standpoint.
