Subject: Blue Ridge Swimming Pool Club (SDP201100011) Site Plan Waiver Request- Design Standards
The site plan waiver request appears to show added impervious area and proposed
construction that may exceed the 10,000 sf. land disturbance area allowed by the
State without an approved plan. Land disturbance is the total amount of land
utilized for creation of a project and is to include the construction access ways,
contractor parking, materials storage, and any soil disturbance associated with this
proposal. If the site work cannot be kept under the 10,000 sf. threshold then a
WPO plan is required.
The current County ordinance requires stormwater management facilities for any
increase in impervious area. This office is willing to forgo the SWM requirement
for the addition of rain barrels to the buildings to reduce the amount of runoff into
the stream. No SWM plan will be required at this time.
