Preliminary comments for the following divisions of the Department of Community Development and other agencies, as applicable, are attached: Albemarle County Division of Zoning & Current Development (Engineer) Albemarle County Division of Zoning & Current Development (Planner) Albemarle County Division of Planning (E911) Albemarle County Division of Zoning Inspections Albemarle County Division of Planning (Architectural Review Board) Albemarle County Department of Fire Rescue Albemarle County Service Authority Virginia Department of Transportation Comments reflect information available at the time the development proposal was reviewed, and should not be considered final. However, the Site Review Committee has attempted to identify all issues that could affect approval of the proposed project. Please make the revisions that have been identified as necessary for preliminary approval by the Site Review Committee. If you choose not to make the requested revisions, please submit in writing justification for not incorporating such revisions. Submit eight (8) full size copies and one (1) 11" x 17" copy to the Department of Community Development including responses to each of the attached comments of the Site Review Committee by January 3r`', 2011. Failure to submit this information by this date will result in suspension of the review schedule. Review will resume when revisions are submitted. (The following comments are those that have been identified at this time. Additional comments or conditions may be added or eliminated based on further review.) [Each comment is preceded by the applicable reference to the Albemarle County Code.] 1. [14 -302 (A)(5)] Public easements. Is there a landscape and sidewalk easement along Old Trail Drive? This is not labeled. 2. [14 -302 (A)(8)] Proposed lots. Revise the lot labels /numbers to be chronological, Lot 1, Lot 2, Lot 3, Lot 4, etc. 3. [14 -302 (A)(8)] Proposed lots. The note that states Lot 2 in Block 22 is incorrect, that lot is located in Block 21. 4. [14 -302 (A)(8)] Proposed lots. What is `Parcel A' and `Parcel B'? This label is in two separate locations, and it is unclear what this label is, or what it is for. Clarify or remove. 5. [14 -302 (A)(12)] Topography. Show the existing topography on the property. Charlottesville, VA 22902 Subject: Site Review Meeting Comments December 22 "d, 2011 site review meeting Dear Mr. Brooks: Below are VDOT's comments on the Site Plans for the December 22 "d, 2011 Site Review Committee Meeting: SUB - 2011 -00140 Old Trail Blocks 3C, 5, 6, 20, 21, 22 — Preliminary (Megan Yaniglos) 1. The scale is incorrect on the plat. 2. Block 6 has access from a road parallel to Old Trail Drive, `B Street ". This road needs to be included on the plat and extend across the backs of blocks 5, 6, and 20 and connect to Old Trail Drive directly across from the existing intersection. 3. There needs to be a road connecting to Old Trail Drive at the existing Upland Drive and extend along the divide between blocks 5 and 20 and connect to the road parallel road to Old Trail Drive running along the back of blocks 5, 6, and 20. 4. Block 22 needs to have access to the proposed Road "A ". The right of way for proposed Road "A" is not adequate in width and needs to line up directly across from the existing intersection. 5. Road frontage along Old Trail Drive, side roads, and the parallel road for blocks 5, 6, 20, 21, and 22 should have right of way placed 1 foot behind the proposed or existing sidewalks and not in easements.
