North Wing Charlottesville, VA 22902 Memorandum To: Eugene Ryang, CLA From: Joanne Tu Purtsezova - Planner Division: Planning Date: January 3, 2012 Subject: SDP201100082 — Boar's Head Sports Club (squash expansion) Fax: 434 - 972 -4126 The Albemarle County Planning Division will recommend approval of the major site plan amendment referenced above when the following comments have been addressed. [Each comment is preceded by the applicable reference to the Zoning Ordinance, unless otherwise specified.] 1. [32.5.6a.] Revisions. - #1. Please add a date and description of last revision with each re- submittal. 2. -3. [32.5.6a.] Tax Map and Parcel Numbers. - #2. Please add a tax map and parcel number for the path located on multiple properties at the border to the south of the main parcel, which is only partially located on the main parcel. #3. Please correct the tax map and parcel number for the property with proposed employee parking. It is not the same as the main parcel (059D2- 01 -00- 01500), as indicated. 4. [32.5.6a.] Description of all variances, zoning proffers and bonus factors applicable to the site. #4. Please reference ZMA- 2004 -015. If any other variances or bonus factors are applicable, please so state. Otherwise, reference to the ZMA file number is sufficient. 5. -8. [32.5.6b.] Parking Schedule. - #5. Please add and update the breakdown of the parking calculations from previous site plans and site plan amendments. An example /copy of an extracted schedule from an approved plan is attached. #6. Please add the maximum amount required in addition to the amount provided. #7. An updated landscape plan has been submitted. #8. Please also update maximum area of paved parking and vehicular circulation areas. (A parking justification may be required. Zoning review is still pending and this decision will be made shortly.) 9. [32.5.6b.] Maximum Height of All Structures. #9. Maximum height indicated is 35'. Previous site plans and amendments had a maximum height 10. [32.5.6b.] 11. -13. [32.5.6s.] 14. [4.12.2/ 4.12.2c./ 4.12.15] of 40' for some structures. Are any existing structures more than 35' high? If so, please indicate. Also, adjoining owners are interested in specific building heights. If willing, please add specific building height labels. This is recommended, but is not required. Written Schedules as Necessary (Square Footage of All Structures). #10. Please add the square footage for the existing Racquet Club as well as the square footage of the Squash Club addition. Additional Information. #11. Please submit a more detailed parking management plan regarding day -to -day management beyond event parking. #12. Please submit a copy of the shared parking agreement referenced in current parking plan. #13. Please also correct the discrepancy in number of proposed employee parking spaces as listed on the cover sheet and on the detail page. (32 vs. 34). Curb Waiver. #14. Please submit a curb waiver for proposed employee parking area. See alternatives available per Engineering comments.
