Regarding the Comprehensive Sign Review: By a vote of 5:0 the Board approved a Certificate of Appropriateness to establish comprehensive criteria for signs on Luxor Buildings 4 & 5. The Board unanimously approved the application as submitted. You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness. SIGN FEATURE PROPOSED CRITERIA SIGN TYPE Reverse channel letter MATERIALS Aluminum, paint SIZE LIMITATIONS Channel letter height: 18" max. Channel letter returns: exactly 4" Lo o: max. height not to exceed the tallest letter in the sign LOCATION(S) Buildings 4 & 5: South (EC) elevation: centered horizontally and vertically with a single, pair or group of first or second story windows or doors in the approved sign bands Building 4: East elevation: centered horizontally and vertically with a single, pair or group of first or second story windows or doors in the approved sign bands Building 5: West elevation: centered horizontally and vertically with a single, pair or group of first or second story windows or doors in the approved sign bands Note: • See accompanying building elevations for the location of approved sign band locations • Top of sign band located at bottom of third row of brick beneath second story windows • Bottom of sign band located at top of second row of brick above stone band at first story • Sides of sign band located 27" from the edge of the bay LETTER Duranodic Bronze (Mathews Color Match #26077), matte and /or brushed finish FACE /RETURN COLOR LETTER FONT Times New Roman LOGO /GRAPHIC Face & return: Duranodic Bronze (Mathews Color Match #26077) COLOR TEXT /LOGO Internal halo -lit, JS warm white LED ILLUMINATION Lighting intensity to be verified with the note: DETAILS The level of illumination provided will not exceed the illumination produced by a single stroke of 30 milliam ma neon. This form outlines the specific design criteria established for signs at this location. All standard ARB Sign Guidelines also apply. Regarding the AT &T Sign: By a vote of 5:0 the Board approved the request, pending staff administrative approval of the following conditions: 1. Revise the sign drawing to indicate the faces and returns of the reverse channel letters are to be opaque. 2. Revise the sign drawing to include the following note regarding lighting intensity: The level of illumination provided by the LED lights will not exceed the illumination produced by a single stroke of 30 milliamp (ma) neon. Please provide: 1. Two full sets of revised drawings addressing each of these conditions. Include updated ARB revision dates on each drawing. 2. A memo including detailed responses indicating how each condition has been satisfied. If changes other than those requested have been made, identify those changes in the memo also. Highlighting the changes in the drawing with "clouding" or by other means will facilitate review and approval. 3. The attached "Revised Application Submittal" form. This form must be returned with your revisions to ensure proper tracking and distribution. When staff's review of this information indicates that all conditions of approval have been met, a Certificate of Appropriateness may be issued.
