Subject: SDP2012 -005 Rio Hill- Major Site Plan Amendment
The Planner for the Zoning & Current Development Division of the Albemarle County
Department Community Development will recommend approve the plan referred to above when
the following items have been satisfactorily addressed. (The following comments are those that
have been identified at this time. Additional comments or conditions may be added or eliminated
based on further review.) [Each comment is preceded by the applicable reference to the
Albemarle County Code.]
1. [32.5.6; 32.6.6 (g)] Revise the parking to include required and proposed to verify that
there is sufficient parking.
2. [32.5.6 (n); 4.12.16] The parking aisle width for the parking to the north of the fuel
pumps needs to be 24 feet. Right now, 20 feet is shown for 9 by 18 foot spaces. If you
want to keep the 20 foot aisle, revise the parking to be 10 by 18.
3. [32.6.6 (f)] A signature panel needs to be added to the cover sheet. Will email a template
for your use.
4. [32.7.9] Only one conservation checklist is needed. Delete one in the set.
5. [32.7.9.7 (b)] Replace the River Birch with either the zelkova or the maple. River Birch
does not do well in parking lot islands. Revise tree canopy accordingly.
