Issue 1: ARB Sign Guidelines indicate that colors must be harmonious with each other and not clash with other elements on the site. The proposed green, gray and white colors, as demonstrated in the samples provided, are complimentary to the overall sign & buildings; however the Pantone numbers provided for the gray and green colors do not correspond with the color samples. • Revise the photo- renderings for both the tenant panel and hanging panel signs to include the correct Pantone numbers for the proposed gray and green color samples provided. Issue 2: ARB Sign Guidelines state that lettering should be in proportion to the sign and building for visual clarity and overall balance. The guidelines also state that the ARB may require the scale of graphics to be modified and they should be incorporated as an integral part of the overall sign. The scale (size) of the leaf graphic for both signs appears to overcrowd the sign area leaving an insufficient amount of white background framing the text and graphic, resulting in an unbalanced and unfinished appearance. • Revise the photo- renderings for both the tenant panel and hanging panel signs by reducing the size of the graphic, text if necessary, to allow more of the white background to frame the sign on all 4 sides. Include a black or gray border around the sign edge to provide the more finished appearance the guidelines encourage. Issue 3: It is my understanding that neither sign is to be illuminated; however, that is not noted on the drawings provided. • Revise the photo- renderings for both the tenant panel and hanging panel signs to include notation stating that the signs are not to be illuminated. It is preferred, but not required, that the revised photo- renderings be emailed to me. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions. Brent Brent W.
