[rreynolds @vhb.com] Owner or rep.: Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority [fax Unknown] Plan received date: 10 April 2012 Date of comments: 19 April 2012 Reviewer: Max Greene The Water Protection Plans (WP0201200023) submitted 10 April 2012 have received Engineering Review and do not appear to meet Albemarle County minimum checklist items for approval. Please adequately address the following comments for final approval: A) Please show the Albemarle County Paved Construction Entrance detail on the plans. 1) Add the following note to the plan/detail: "Should the temporary construction entrance not be maintained properly or an excessive amount of soil found tracked onto the public roadway, then a paved construction entrance, a minimum water tap of 1" will be installed with a minimum 1" ballcock shutoff valve supplying a wash hose with a diameter of 1.5" for adequate constant pressure. Wash water must be carried away from the entrance to an approved settling area to remove sediment. All sediment shall be prevented from entering storm drains, ditches or water courses. In the event public water is not available, then a water tanker truck with 2 pressure washers may be required by the erosion and sediment control program administrator." B) Sequence of construction does not reflect the project as described in the meeting of Thursday 5th of April. The site work sequence was proposed as 4 areas to be constructed one at a time. It was understood by this office that each area would be graded and planted prior to beginning the next area. Please clarify proposed construction sequence. It would be best to limit the amount of disturbed area open and any one time due to the flood plain and the amount of micro - grading proposed prior to stabilization. C) The County Design Standards manual has required notes that need to be shown on the plan. Please use the following link to find the required notes for "General ", "Erosion and Sediment Control" and "Stormwater Management ". http: / /www.albemarle.orcr/upload /images /forms center /departme nts/ community_ development/ forms /design standards manual /Albe marle County Design Standards Manual 02- 12- 2010.pdf Engineering Review Comments Page 2 of 2 D) Please supply copies of all applicable permits including but not limited to the following: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, DEQ, VPDES and U.S. Marine Permit. Once these comments have been addressed, please submit 4 copies of the revised plans that can be used for construction, calculations, and narratives to Current Development Engineering along with the required review fee and transmittal form.
