The second submittal for the Minor Amendment for the Westminster Canterbury site plan (SDP2012-
00022), received on and before 11 June 2012, has been reviewed by engineering staff. This review is for
the Minor Amendment and does not include a review of Erosion & Sediment Control or Stormwater
Management as submitted with WP02012- 00038.
Title Information

remove the note if unknown.
(Rev 1) Per meeting on 10 May 2012, these notes are acceptable to maintain the history of'
approved Westminster Canterbury site development plans. Comment retracted.
2. (Rev]) Please re -title Sheets], 3, 4, and 5 to be "27 Additional Parking Spaces ".
Existing Conditions Information
1. Existing topography should be at least visually field verified by designer within 1 year of design
submittal [18- 32.6.6,14 -302, Policy for date]. Please review existing field topography and note as
much within applicable date on this plan set.
(Rev 1) Comment has been addressed with 30 May written comment response.
Please provide an existing benchmark location, elevation, and datum for topography. An existing
utility or other known position will suffice.

Proposed Plan View Information
Please label proposed contour elevations for grading adjacent to parking area entrance on sheet 2.
Please include existing topography 50' beyond limits of construction [18- 32.5.6d].

Please provide VDOT equivalent entrance designations or label all radii and distances for the
proposed entrances and curb islands. Existing curb island appears to need to be shown as removed
as it is in conflict with proposed exit.

3. Please provide proposed landscape design or indicate if all proposed disturbed grades will be
seeded with no additional trees, bushes, shrubs, or flowers. A planting plan may be required.

4. Please provide temporary grading easement or letter of intent from adjacent property owner for
proposed grading outside property limits.

Plan Detail Information
Please include Albemarle County General Construction Notes on sheet 1 per Design Standards
Manual.

Recommend deleting notes on sheet 1 which do not apply to this minor amendment.

3. Please provide a detail for proposed dog -house manholes as identified on sheet 3 (especially plan
intent for connection with existing pipe).

Drainage Profiles
1. Please distinguish between existing pipes and structures shown in plan and profile views.
(Rev 1) Please note DI #S and DI #9 are existing inlets on drainage profile on sheet 3.
Please provide a finished grade line over existing pipe runs. Please move finished grade line label
appropriately.

3. Please adjust leader line to structure DI #7 -C.
(Rev 1) Comment has been addressed.
4. Please provide invert elevations for structures DI - #6B, DI - #7B, and DI - #7C. Proposed invert
elevations appear to be crossed out.

5. Please include a note to require inlet shaping for all proposed structures with a 4' or greater drop
(appears to apply to all 3 proposed inlets).

6. (Rev]) Please adjust plan layout for storm sewer system on sheet 3 with 28 parking spaces to
match plan layout on sheet 2 with 27parking spaces and proposed retaining wall.
