Seth,
The modifications to the planting plan are acceptable. I will print off a copy of this series of emails as well as the sketch
and add them to your building permit file. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil,
I updated the sketch so that it does not show plantings in the areas that we don't have worked out
yet, and so that it does include the patio off the side of the addition farthest from the stream. As for
the plant list, we would like to plant the following trees and shrubs in the areas labeled 1, 3, 4, and
'fruit trees /bushes' on the sketch. I'm leaving off the ground covers and grasses in the interest of
keeping this lean but I'm hoping that we can stick pretty close to what was on the list that I sent in
the attachment to the last note if it would be helpful to include that. They will also be going into the
areas labeled 1, 3, and 4.

If this is acceptable then we will order our plants and get them in the ground. If you determine that we need to make any
additions or changes to this please let me know and we'll update our plan accordingly.

A modification to the plan is alright, but I'll want to update the file with something comparable to what we are
replacing. Please reply to this email with a sketch at least as detailed as page four of the attachment, detailing
the location and type of the mitigation plantings. For ease of review, please only include the minimum
plantings (about the number in your list on page two of the attached document) in the sketch. The proposed
species look fine, I'll just look over the plan to make sure you have enough plantings and they are placed within
the existing buffers.
The Whittington application numbers are WPO- 2011 -00019 (ESC and SWIM Plan), SUB - 2011 -00029 (Road
Plan), and SUB - 2012 -00028 (Subdivision Plat). The plat was submitted since we last communicated, but has
been stalled because they didn't provide a large enough application fee. The ESC, SWM, and Road plans
have been approved and they can begin construction once they post the necessary bonds, but this has not
happened yet.
Please give me a call if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil,
I'm embarrassed to say that Christine and I have not yet started on our planting and that we are
looking to change our plan again but I'm afraid that's the case. The delay turns out to have been
fortunate for us because we learned only recently that we would need to install a well, and that
caused a lot of disruption to the area where we will be doing some of this planting. And we have also
found a landscape architect who is very knowledgeable about native plants and has really helped us
to come up with a plan that we feel good about. The list that I have attached is just the first part of a
plan that will probably take a few years to get all the way done but I hope it will be enough to satisfy
the mitigation requirements. Please let me know if it's not and I'll talk with our landscape architect
about getting some more of the plan done now. Please let me know too if you want detail on where
on the property the plants on the attached list will go and I'll try to get you the drawing.
As before, thanks for your patience and understanding.

ps - I've seen a big tree across the access road going back to Whittington for some time now so I
guess there's nothing going on back there. Do you have any updated information on that?
