Marcie,
I have completed my review of the above -noted sign application and have identified the following issues.
Approved Sign Type
The approved sign type for this building is channel letters. This proposal is for replacing the existing channel
letters with a logo can only. This cannot be administratively approved since it does not meet the approved sign
type (channel letters).
Other Issues:
Sign Size: ARB guidelines indicate that signs should not overcrowd the sign area. The height of the sign band
was not provided on the sign drawing. The 5' diameter logo can appears to overcrowd the band.
Sign Color/Designation: The Pantone number for the proposed green color was not indicated on the sign
drawing
Opaque Background: ARB guidelines and the zoning ordinance require that cabinet sign backgrounds be
opaque. This is not indicated on the sign drawing.
LED/Intensity: The sign drawing indicates the logo can is to be internally illuminated with LED; however, the
required note (The level of illumination provided by the LED lights will not exceed the illumination produced by a single
stroke of 30 milliamp (ma) neon.) is not included on the sign drawing.
Please let me know by Friday, August 315`, sooner if possible, as to whether or not you intend to revise the proposal for an
