Jeff,
I left you a voicemail earlier today but thought I would go ahead and send this email so we can keep this moving. I
reviewed this with Margaret Maliszewski, lead planner for the ARB. Unfortunately, she cannot find a way to avoid doing
a Comprehensive Sign Review of this building — meaning a full review before the ARB of both your proposal and one to
establish approved criteria for future signs on this building. This due to the way the Zoning Ordinance is written.
In order to process this, I would need a few things from you by noon Monday, September 24"' at the latest. I am trying to
make this as simple for you as possible.
• A completed Comprehensive Sign Criteria Table outlining the approved sign criteria requested for this building. I
have attached a sample of that table for you to use. You can fill it out by hand if you prefer. We can discuss this
over the phone and I can tell you how to fill it out based on what you are proposing.
• Photos marked to show where the signs are to be located. I have attached 4 photos of the building to aid you.
Marking them up by hand and submitting would be fine. Unfortunately, I do not have a photo of the east side of
the building so you would need to get that.
• Something in writing from the property owner indicating he is supporting this request; an email to you would
suffice.
I will call you again to make sure you got this email. I spoke with Stewart Wright, Zoning Permit Planner, after we last
talked and asked that he call you regarding the temporary sign permit process. We would need to take this to the ARB's
Monday, October 15th meeting You would need to be present at that meeting to answer any questions. The October I"
meeting would not be possible due to the need to prepare and send out a staff report.

Brent,
Here is the dimension for the sign lettering. My landlord said the building will be off -white to cream
colored, he hasn't decided on the exact color yet so I am unable to give you an exact color. He said
that he would let me know as soon as he decides. Given the options, I believe the white is going to be
the best option. The Spanish tile looking wall cap is grayish, but I really don't want any contrast, or the
light fixture to look like an extension of that feature. I believe silver or bronze would do just that. I want
the light fixture to disappear into the wall. I've notified my contractor to have the electrician look into
ordering the visored 35 watt fixtures. I look forward to hearing from you on Monday.
