RE: SP2012- 27- Verizon Wireless — Old Lynchburg Tier III
Dear Julian:
The Site Review Committee has reviewed the development proposal referenced above. Preliminary
comments for the following divisions of the Department of Community Development and other agencies,
as applicable, are below:

2. I was unable to locate all existing and proposed setback.
3. There is an outstanding balance for legal fees in the amount' o $398.35'f6r the Planning
Commission public hearing. This fee must be paid no later than October 29, 2012. There is
also an outstanding balance for legal fees in the amount of $188.00 for the Board of

fees can be paid separately or in one lump sum, any time prior to their respective deadlines.
4. This tower is set to be heard by the Planning Commission on November 13, 2012, and the
Board of Supervisors on December 5, 2012.
Engineering Services —
1. No Engineering concerns noted on submission.
Information Services (E911) —
No objection.
Architectural Review Board —
1. Regarding the ground equipment: The proposal does not include any changes on the ground.
2. Regarding rding; visibility of the facility: The existing facility is not visible when traveling
westbound on the I -64 Entrance Corridor. The existing facility is visible from the eastbound
lanes for a very brief period in the immediate vicinity of Sunset Avenue Extended. Visibility
may increase somewhat when the leaves have fallen from the trees. A balloon test was not
conducted to determine the visibility of this proposal because an existing facility is in place.
However, the additional 10' height and the antennas mounted on the platform at the top of the
existing tower are not expected to significantly increase the visibility of the facility or its
impact on the Entrance Corridor.
Building Inspections -
No objection.
