Yes and I have spoken with CenturyLink.
According to CenturyLink's right -of -way office Katurah has not yet provided all the easements CenturyLink needs for the
utility relocation. He needs to obtain a CenturyLink easement that follows the east side of the proposed Oak Street
right -of -way and is on the Union Bank (pka Barnes Lumber) property. CenturyLink has given the deed & plat and,
according to CenturyLink, Katurah is working to obtain Union Bank's signature. This easement is necessary for the
County to re -route Century -ink's underground lines from the previously recorded easements to the locations required
by this site plan.
The drawings contain incorrect utility labels and do not accurately show all of the utility easements. Sheet E -1 has a
note in the center of the page stating the utility easement along the west is being abandoned. Only the Dominion Power
and CenturyLink easements on the south side and a portion of the easement on the west side are being abandoned. A
portion of the easements on the west side are still needed to get access to conduits installed under the Alley pavement.
Sheet S -1 delineates and labels the easement along the north property line as a "10' utility easement ". The recorded
Dominion Power easement is 1S' wide measured from the property line (see attached). Additional easement area was
also recorded where the north and west property line easements intersect (see attached); this easement is not shown
on this sheet. The CenturyLink easement that follows the east side of the proposed Oak Street right -of -way and is on
the Union Bank (pka Barnes Lumber) property is also not shown on this sheet.
As mentioned before, these easements are vital to the County's utility relocation project. So please do not approve the
site plan until all the last easement has been signed and given to CenturyLink for recordation; and the utility easements
are correctly shown and labeled on the site plan.
