Subject: SLTB2012000112 Lanetown Preliminary Plat and Road Plan
The Planner for the Planning Services Division of the Albemarle County Department Community
Development will recommend approval of the plat referred above when the following items have
been satisfactorily addressed. (The following comments are those that have been identified at this
time. Additional comments or conditions may be added or eliminated based on further review.)

Planning — Christopher Perez
1. All of Planning's previous comments have been addressed on the most recent version
of the Preliminary Subdivision Plat dated 12- 13 -12; however, the applicant only
provided 6 sheets of the revised plat. The original preliminary plat contained 15 sheets.
Once all reviewer comments have been addressed and the plan is ready for approval
please provide this office with a complete version of the preliminary subdivision plat
for the file, after which staff will provide an approval letter.
Zoning — Rebecca Ragsdale
1. Regarding Proffer 1, units must still be designated as the affordable units for purposes
of triggering the cash proffer payment due in lieu of providing a unit. I have sent Ron
White, Housing Director with the Housing Office an e-mail to confirm he has approved
cash instead of units. The applicant may also provide this approval if they have it but it
wasn't attached to their resubmittal.
VDOT — Joel DeNunzio
1. It appears a sight distance easement is needed at the intersection of Kendall Court and
Lanetown Way, looking right from Kendall Court.
Engineering — Max Greene
1. Consultant called and asked to replace submittal with new plans. This plan set was not
reviewed due to exchange of plan sets. See next submittal for review comments.

E911- Andrew Slack
1. Approved
Fire and Rescue — Robbie Gilmer
1. Approved
RWSA - Victoria Fort
1. No objections to the subdivision; however, due to limited sewer capacity in the
Crozet area, RWSA should review and approve anticipated sewer flows for all
developments in this area prior to site plan approval. A note in the file will
suffice at this stage of review, and I'll keep an eye out for the site plans in the
future.
Building Inspections - Jay Schlothauer
No objection
ACSA — Alex Morrison
Approved
Comments from Engineering will be forwarded to the applicant once they are complete. Please
