The following revisions are required to make the proposal consistent with the design criteria that apply to the county -wide Certificate. 1. Locate on the plan the trees to be removed. 2. Show perimeter parking lot trees on the plan, as follows: Large trees aligning the perimeter of the parking lot, located 40 feet on center, planted at a minimum of 2'/2" caliper. 3. Show the interior parking lot trees on the plan, as follows: Trees at the interior of the parking lot at the rate of one tree for every 10 parking spaces, evenly distributed throughout the interior of the parking area, planted at a minimum of 2'/2 inches caliper. 4. Provide 2'/2" caliper trees at 40' on center, and a row of shrubs, 24" high minimum at planting, along the north side of the new entrance from Crozet Avenue. Continue the shrubs along the Crozet Avenue frontage from the new entrance to the existing building. 5. Include a plant schedule on the plan. 6. Include the following note on the plan: "All site plantings of trees and shrubs shall be allowed to reach, and be maintained at, mature height; the topping of trees is prohibited. Shrubs and trees shall be pruned minimally and only to support the overall health of the plant." 7. All fencing shown on the plan (other than the existing wood fence along Crozet Avenue) is considered temporary and shall be removed at the end of the temporary use. 8. Indicate on the plan the proposed treatment for the existing paved area and curbing located between the proposed parking lot and the existing building. 9. Provide the plan at a standard scale. Within 15 days of the date of this letter, please send me a letter (by email is acceptable) indicating whether you will or will not proceed with these revisions. If you choose not to proceed with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve your application, and the final approval of your Letter of Revision will be delayed. If you choose to proceed with the revisions, please forward me one set of revised drawings together with a memo summarizing the revisions you've made. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60 -day review period associated with your original submittal. However, we typically complete the review of revised proposals within 2 weeks of re- submittal. If you have any questions about this action, please contact me as soon as possible.
