Hope you have been enjoying the summer!
I wanted to touch base with you regarding some permit applications I filed quite a while ago for the Dunkin Donuts at
Rivanna Plaza. I have not been able to get in touch with this client for a while, and I know that we will have to
significantly revise our permit applications anyway due to the new Signage Plan for the center, so I was wondering if I
could withdraw this application and receive the permit fees back for the project until we are ready to proceed and re-
apply. Is this a possibility? I appreciate any help you can give.

Hi Marcie — You do not need to provide more copies of the Lee's Nails and Dunkin Donuts sign proposals that I already
have. Once we have approved comprehensive sign criteria, you will need to revise the Lee's Nails and Dunkin Donuts
proposals accordingly to meet those criteria.

Hi Brent,
Thanks so much for you help with this. I will get the new application in the mail along with our Proposed Comprehensive
Sign Review (attached). Should I include the renderings for Dunkin Donuts and Lee's Nails or is that not necessary at this
point?

Thanks Mark. I will update date our County View tracking system to reflect this request to defer.
Marcie — you will need to make a new ARB application (no review fee required) for the comprehensive sign proposal.
Please use the sign application you normally use (see attached). On Page 2, Part B, #1, check Wall Sign (cross through the
corresponding $85.60 review fee). Under Part B, #3, check the second Yes (with the corresponding "Waive Fee "). You
can ignore any sign permit fees (e.g. electrical) as this is to be treated as an ARB application only and not a sign permit.

Mark — I am sending this email as a follow up to our phone conversation just now. You indicated that you
planned to submit a Comprehensive Sign Criteria proposal for Buildings A & B at Rivanna Plaza. In order to
process that proposal, I will need today a request from you for an indefinite deferral of ARB 2013 -14, Dunkin
Donuts signs and ARB 2013 -11, Lee's Nails signs. You are welcome to reply to this email with that request.
Once the comprehensive sign criteria have been approved, you will need to submit revised drawings for Dunkin
Donuts and Lee's Nails meeting those criteria.
