Hi Erin - I have completed my review of the above -noted sign application. The following issues have been
identified that will need to be adequately addressed for an administrative approval.
Sign Proportions:
• The proposed 3'3" tall channel letter has an oversized appearance appearing to overcrowd the sign band.
Reducing the text size to a more proportionate appearance would be appropriate. The previously
approved Battlefield channel letters were 2' 2" tall. A 30" tall channel letter for the Malloy sign would
be appropriate.
Sign Colors:
• Proposed channel letter trim cap and return colors are not indicated on the sign drawing.
• The proposed width of the channel letter white trim is not indicated on the drawing.
Sign Illumination:
• Channel letters: ARB staff have previously determined that internal illumination of the white outline is
inappropriate. The previously approved Battlefield sign was approved with the white outline not
illuminating. Revise the sign drawing to indicate only the blue face of the channel letter shall
illuminate.
• Logo cabinet: ARB Sign Guidelines and the zoning ordinance require that the background of an
internally illuminated cabinet sign in the Entrance Corridor be opaque, non - illuminated. Revise the sign
drawing to include a note indicating the background of the cabinet sign shall be opaque, non -
illuminated; only the text FORD shall illuminate.

intend to provide them.
