County engineering staff is available every Thursday afternoon to discuss details of review. To schedule, please call your reviewer for an appointment. Erosion & Sediment Control: Adequate (Code Chapter 17, Article II) X Not Adequate Y N State standards followed, and Design Standards Manual notes and details Adequate limits and perimeter measures out of work areas All stages protected adequately 1. Temporary construction entrance is covering work area. Please move temporary construction entrance to one side of work area, or explain in detail for the inspector and contractor how the (CE) will be maintained during construction of the site. Mud on road may delay project. 2. Silt fence still does not appear to adequately protect the site work. Please show short runs of silt fence along contour intervals turning up hill (Std. & Spec 3.05) see plate 3.05 -2 for drainage way installation. The silt fence intervals should not exceed 10' in elevation. Please see note #6 on page III -23 of the installation section. Silt fence will be installed after backfill over pipe. Vehicles will need room to drive around silt fence. 3. Stream crossing area (limits of construction) appears very narrow for staging. Should contractor exceed limits of disturbance a delay in construction may occur. Please show actual limits required for contractor to install stream crossing. Turning vehicles around and delivery of supplies should be part of the considerations in design. This review attempts to encompass the larger compliance questions. County staff does not assume responsibility for any calculation or plan details, and cannot cover the intricacies of every plan submitted.
