We have received the above -noted application and I have determined that it may be reviewed as a county -wide Certificate
of Appropriateness for a building proposed to be located behind another building. The following revisions are requested
to make the proposal consistent with the design criteria that apply to the county -wide Certificate.
1. Add the standard lighting note to the site plan: "Each outdoor luminaire equipped with a lamp that emits 3,000 or
more initial lumens shall be a full cutoff luminaire and shall be arranged or shielded to reflect light away from
adjoining residential districts and away from adjacent roads. The spillover of lighting from luminaires onto public
roads and property in residential or rural areas zoning districts shall not exceed one half footcandle."
2. Add the standard ARB mechanical equipment note to the site plan: "Visibility of all mechanical equipment from the
Entrance Corridor shall be eliminated."
3. Add the standard ARB landscape note to the site plan: "All site plantings of trees and shrubs shall be allowed to reach,
and be maintained at, mature height; the topping of trees is prohibited. Shrubs and trees shall be pruned minimally
and only to support the overall health of the plant."
Please make these revisions and forward me one set of revised site plan drawings. Once I've confirmed that the changes
have been made, I will be able to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness. Please contact me if you have any questions
