Re: SDP2013 -00046 Gillenwater Property Tier II Personal Wireless Service Facility (AT &T
Wireless 648 Dry Bridge Road)
Dear Mr. Nelson:
We have reviewed the subject facility in the field and reviewed the plans identified as AT &T site
number CV404A as submitted by BC Architects Engineers and dated 1/14/.14. Per the attached
letter from the design engineer, should there be a structural failure, the tower collapse would be
no further than 56' from the center of the structure, which would approximately 10 to 15 feet
from the edge of pavement of Route 708. Under these conditions, the fall zone of the tower
would not impact Route 708 and VDOT has no objections to the proposed facility as designed.
The applicant will need to obtain a Land Use Permit from this office for the proposed entrance
and any necessary work to be performed on the State Right -of -Way.
If you need additional information concerning this project, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Troy ustin, P.E.
