HomeMy WebLinkAboutSDP201400019 Review Comments Major Amendment, Preliminary Plan 2014-05-29Ellie Ray From: Alex Morrison [amorrison @serviceauthority.org] Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2014 11:34 AM To: Ellie Ray Subject: SDP201400019: CHO Airport Surface Parking Expansion - Major Ellie, I have reviewed the above referenced plan. The ACSA is still awaiting 3 copies of the plan along with a water data sheet from the applicant so we can conduct a utility construction review. In the meantime I wanted to provide comments on the copy I have so they can make revisions before submitting 3 copies. My comments are as follows: • Call out a TS &V on the existing line for the FHA. A water shutdown is not feasible to cut in a tee because it will affect all domestic and fire protection for the airport. A TS &V will allow the water main to remain in service while construction occurs. • Extend the proposed easement around the FHA so it extends 10' off all sides. • Add any applicable ACSA detail (FHA, pipe installation and easement). The details can be found on our website (www.serviceauthority.org) under Engineering — General Construction Specifications. • Show existing trees within the ACSA waterline easement along Bowens Loop that are to remain (per ARB) and add a call out note. The ACSA will review the locations and determine if they can remain. If the trees are allowed to remain, the ACSA will have no obligation to replace the trees in the event of a waterline excavation. Let me know if you have any questions. The plans should be submitted directly to the ACSA and addressed to the attention of Jeremy Lynn. Alexander J.
