Stewart Wright is the planner handling the review of your sign permit. I have completed my review and identified the following issues that will need to be adequately addressed for my administrative approval. Freestanding Sign: • The proposed Red: PMS 485 is a shade of red the ARB has determined is inappropriate for signs in the Entrance Corridors. Red: PMS 187 is considered an acceptable substitute. Revise the sign drawing accordingly. • Revise the sign drawing with a note indicating the brick sign base is existing and to remain. • Revise the sign drawing with a note indicating the sign cabinet frame color; it appears to be white. • Revise the sign drawing to include the following notes: • "Each sign cabinet shall have an opaque background; only the text, gas pricing and blue under line graphic shall illuminate." • "The level of illumination provided by the LED lights will not exceed the illumination produced by a single stroke of 30 milliamp (ma) neon." • "Regarding the gas pricing LED, daytime intensity limited to 70% of maximum intensity; Nighttime intensity limited to 16% of maximum intensity with automatic dimming at dusk. Canopy Sims: • Revise the sign drawing to indicate if the channel letters are direct -mount or raceway- mount. If raceway - mount, indicate the raceway color shall match the canopy color. • Change the proposed Red: PMS 485 color to Red: PMS 187. • Revise the sign drawing to indicate whether the channel letters are face -lit or back -lit. If back -lit, indicate the faces and returns shall be opaque. • Revise the sign drawing to include the following note: "The level of illumination provided by the LED lights will not exceed the illumination produced by a single stroke of 30 milliamp (ma) neon." Please email revised sign drawings back to me for ARB approval. All drawings must be in color, not black and white. ARB approval is required before Stewart Wright can issue your sign permit.
